The purpose of the Fellowship is for to have a tailor-made small group hands-on education and feedback study format covering major and important aspects of abdominal and pelvic MRI. The programme is flexible and adaptable to the participants and their need and requests.

Description

The principle part of the education will be case-based study with direct feedback. The participants will be asked about their expectations and needs. Coverage of whole abdomen and pelvis will be provided, however the course program will be adjusted as much as possible based on what the participants’ wishes.
Each subject will first be taught in lecture format with interaction of the participants. The pace will be adjusted based on the needs of the group. After each presentation representative cases with be provided and participants will review the images, first by themselves and then together with the rest of the group as well as the mentor. Participants are encouraged to bring their own cases for discussion. The main aim is not only to have textbooks cases but how daily scenarios are tackled.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Understanding of relevant common and less common pathologies
• Understanding advantages and problems of different sequences and how to use the advantages and avoid problems
• Understanding in depth differential diagnosis based on findings

PROGRAMME WILL INCLUDE
• Lectures on MRI of abdomen and pelvis
• Individual review with supervision of Mentor
• Group case discussion of the reported cases

LEVEL
The course is intended for radiologists at different levels of expertise from residents in last years of residency, to specialising/specialised radiologists.

    Consultant radiologist at TMC and associate professor UCL, UK

    Associate professor Michael R. Torkzad, M.D, Ph. D., will be the main mentor for the whole course. He has extensive clinical as well as academic experience. He has been working with abdominal and pelvic MRI for 18 years. Aside from lecturing he has organized more than 10 different radiological courses.

  • Zsolt Tarjan M.D. Ph.D.
    Budapest, Hungary

    Consultant radiologist at TMC Clinical director Radiology Department Bajcsy-Zsillinszky teaching Hospital Budapest, Hungary

    He worked for 20 years at Semmelweis University Budapest as associate professor in radiology. He has been working in the past 8 years as a consultant radiologist in the UK. He has been working with abdominal MRI for 25 years. Not only he has extensive clinical experience but also academic experience as invited speaker of international scientific and educational conferences

Cancellation Policy

Participant cancellations
For cancellations made up until 6 weeks prior to the course, the participant will be fully reimbursed.

For cancellations made after 6 weeks, TMC Academy offers flexible transfer of paid registration fees, meaning that in the unfortunate event that an attendee cannot make it to Barcelona (for Covid-19 related reasons or other), they may simply transfer their credit to the next session (or to any combination of TMCA training programme(s) or subscriptions equivalent to the same price). Please note that this flexible transfer option is available until 1 day prior to the course.

TMC Cancellation

In the unlikely event that TMC Academy must cancel the fellowship (for Covid-19, force majeure, or other reasons), registrants will be offered the option of flexible transfer or full reimbursement.

TMC Academy will not be responsible for travel or accommodation affected by cancellation by either party. We recommend attendees to book flexible travel whenever possible.
