The purpose of the Fellowship is to have a tailor-made small group hands-on education and feedback study format covering major and important aspects of abdominal CT and MRI, based on plenary lectures and hands on case-based interactive training. The programme is flexible and adaptable to the participants and their need and requests.

Description

The principle part of the education will be case-based study with direct feedback. The participants will be asked about their expectations and needs. Coverage of whole abdomen will be provided, however the course program will be adjusted as much as possible based on what the participants’ wishes.
Each subject will first be taught in lecture format with interaction of the participants. The pace will be adjusted based on the needs of the group. After each presentation representative cases with be provided and participants will review the images, first by themselves and then together with the rest of the group as well as the mentor. Participants are encouraged to bring their own cases for discussion. The main aim is not only to have textbooks cases but how daily scenarios are tackled.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Understanding of relevant common and less common pathologies
• Understanding advantages and problems of different examination techniques and protocols and how to use the advantages and avoid problems
• Understanding in depth differential diagnosis based on findings

PROGRAMME WILL INCLUDE
• Lectures on CT and MRI of abdomen
• Individual case review with supervision of Mentor
• Group case discussion of the reported cases

LEVEL
Anyone can benefit from the training however is predominately geared towards radiologists with a recent entry into abdominal CT and MRI radiology.

    Consultant radiologist at TMC and professor of Radiology at University of Szeged, Hungary

    Professor András Palkó, M.D, Ph. D. has extensive clinical as well as academic experience. Dr. Palkó has been working with abdominal CT and MRI for 25 years. He is the author of 90 peer reviewed papers and over 40 books and book chapters, invited speaker of international scientific and educational conferences, co-founder and faculty member of the European School of Radiology and examiner for the European Diploma in Radiology

Cancellation Policy

Participant cancellations
For cancellations made up until 6 weeks prior to the course, the participant will be fully reimbursed.

For cancellations made after 6 weeks, TMC Academy offers flexible transfer of paid registration fees, meaning that in the unfortunate event that an attendee cannot make it to Barcelona (for Covid-19 related reasons or other), they may simply transfer their credit to the next session (or to any combination of TMCA training programme(s) or subscriptions equivalent to the same price). Please note that this flexible transfer option is available until 1 day prior to the course.

TMC Cancellation

In the unlikely event that TMC Academy must cancel the fellowship (for Covid-19, force majeure, or other reasons), registrants will be offered the option of flexible transfer or full reimbursement.

TMC Academy will not be responsible for travel or accommodation affected by cancellation by either party. We recommend attendees to book flexible travel whenever possible.
