Description

This course is an introduction to the field of HRCT of the lung through an interactive program that includes a combination of lectures, reporting and group case discussion.
First day of the course will focus on pattern recognition and interstitial lung diseases.
On the second day the focus will be on fibrotic lung diseases.


Learning objectives

  • To increase knowledge and ability to diagnose interstitial lung diseases
  • Identifying UIP/IPF and its most common differential diagnoses.

Programme will include

  • Lectures in Swedish by Fredrik Ahlfors
  • Hands-on training (with access to workstations)
  • The Book "HRCT – Pattern recognition and differential diagnosis of Lung disease" by Carl Lamm and Fredrik Ahlfors
  • Course price includes the coffee breaks and one group dinner (optional) sponsored by Boehringer-Ingelheim

The course is aimed at radiologists (all levels), but also pulmonologists and rheumatologists with an interest in interstitial lung diseases

    Consultant radiologist at TMC

    Dr Fredrik Ahlfors (MD) works part time at Telemedicine Clinic with focus on CT Thorax and HRCT. Together with colleague Carl Lamm, he has co-authored the book "HRCT – Pattern Recognition and Differential Diagnosis of the Lung Disease". Dr Fredrik Ahlfors is an active lecturer and has over the years done many courses in the field of HRCT and ILD.

Cancellation Policy

Participant cancellations
For cancellations made up until 6 weeks prior to the course, the participant will be fully reimbursed.

For cancellations made after 6 weeks, TMC Academy offers flexible transfer of paid registration fees, meaning that in the unfortunate event that an attendee cannot make it to Barcelona (for Covid-19 related reasons or other), they may simply transfer their credit to the next session (or to any combination of TMCA training programme(s) or subscriptions equivalent to the same price). Please note that this flexible transfer option is available until 1 day prior to the course.

TMC Cancellation

In the unlikely event that TMC Academy must cancel the fellowship (for Covid-19, force majeure, or other reasons), registrants will be offered the option of flexible transfer or full reimbursement.

TMC Academy will not be responsible for travel or accommodation affected by cancellation by either party. We recommend attendees to book flexible travel whenever possible.
