The 6th Musculoskeletal MRI Course is an advanced level MRI course with focusing on the importance of practical learning to be applied into daily practise.

The methodology of the course empathises on the understanding of the theoretical lecture by interactive case discussion. Additionally, there will be an introduction to structured reporting as way of working.

With a panel of highly experienced lecturers the course will cover topics related to sport injuries as well as osteomyelitis, Soft Tissue Sarcomas in MRI and Ultrasound and MR Arthrography amongst more.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• The learning process will be reinforced by an interactive case discussion on the lectured topic
• Strengthening of subspecialised MSK reporting by lecturers covering smaller area of one anatomic region placing focus on specific areas rather than a broader approach
• Introduction to formalising reports via a structured methodology
• The course will provide a practical approach for instant applicability to daily practice

LEVEL
Advanced level geared towards experienced radiologist with a special interest in musculoskeletal radiology and orthopaedic surgeons with an interest in MR imagine.

Since joining TMC in 2007, Dr Hetenyi has reported 10000's of MRI cases with a variety of pathologies however his area of interest lies within sport injuries and degenerative diseases.     Leading MSK radiologist of Unilabs Røntgen Norway Head of MSK radiology of Unilabs Norway. Dr Pedersen is an experienced lecturer and course organizer, mainly specializing in sports injuries, and with a special interest for imaging of young and growing performers. Dr Pedersen has been a MSK radiologist for 20 years and has worked with the topic in various ways during the years. Over this time, he has developed skills and techniques to cope with a large workload and expectations on speed, efficiency and quality. He oversees 12 radiology clinics, which are producing a large number of studies every day. He reports musculoskeletal studies every day of the year and has an extensive case library, from which he shares cases at his Instagram account (mskradiologyno).

  • Avneesh Chhabra M.D. MBA. FACR

    He is a Professor of Radiology and Orthopaedic Surgery. He is also the director of Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is double boarded in Radiology residency and fellowship trained in musculoskeletal radiology with Exe. MBA in healthcare leadership and management. He is a fellow of American college of Radiology and serves as a counselor of Texas Radiological Society. He is also Soft tissue RADS chair for American college of Radiology. Clinical interests: Dr Chhabra’s clinical expertise and his interests include magnetic resonance neurography (MRN), sports imaging, rheumatology and sarcoma imaging, and related image-guided interventions. Dr. Chhabra actively runs a patient care clinic at UT Southwestern Medical center and translates his research into clinical practices by deploying novel MRN techniques to map peripheral neuropathy in patients preparing for surgery, and to direct perineural nerve injections in patients with neuropathies. Dr. Chhabra serves as a committee member on national and international societies. Dr. Chhabra is frequently invited to lecture nationally and internationally at conferences, webinars, and venues throughout the United States and around the world, including presenting the keynote addresses to the American Roentgen Ray Society, Radiological Society of North America, Ontario association of Radiologists, Chinese, Korean, South American and Gulf MSK societies, and the Tummala Madhusudana Rao Endowment Oration to the Asian Musculoskeletal Society. He also received many scholarly awards, including the SSR young investigator award, GERRAF fellow, the Stephen B. Milam Award, Tummula oration, D- magazine top Doc award, and the ISS mentorship recognition award. He has authored more than 350 peer-reviewed publications, two textbooks and 32 book chapters. He has crafted and published OT-RADS, ST-RADS, and NS-RADS. Dr. Chhabra is on multiple editorial boards, e.g. The Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery, Journal of computed assisted tomography, European Radiology, and BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders including deputy Editor of European Radiology.

Cancellation Policy

Participant cancellations
For cancellations made up until 6 weeks prior to the course, the participant will be fully reimbursed.

For cancellations made after 6 weeks, TMC Academy offers flexible transfer of paid registration fees, meaning that in the unfortunate event that an attendee cannot make it to Barcelona (for Covid-19 related reasons or other), they may simply transfer their credit to the next session (or to any combination of TMCA training programme(s) or subscriptions equivalent to the same price). Please note that this flexible transfer option is available until 1 day prior to the course.

TMC Cancellation

In the unlikely event that TMC Academy must cancel the fellowship (for Covid-19, force majeure, or other reasons), registrants will be offered the option of flexible transfer or full reimbursement.

TMC Academy will not be responsible for travel or accommodation affected by cancellation by either party. We recommend attendees to book flexible travel whenever possible.
