Description

The Abdominal/Pelvic MRI fellowship I., offered by TMC Academy, includes a systematic review of the MRI diagnostics of liver, biliary system and pancreas conditions in the form of interactive lectures, followed by individual reading and group discussion and a common reading session of the cases of selected cases from the TMC Academy teaching file, allowing for direct feedback from the mentor. The Q&A sessions provide opportunity to further clarify whatever deems necessary. The overall aim is to solve problems in various clinical scenarios and learn how to write a useful and meaningful report.

Participation in this fellowship with a small group of radiologists ensures a personal learning environment where you will enhance and strengthen your own and each other’s knowledge in structured MRI reading. The successfully completed course will provide participants with practical knowledge that will be helpful to address everyday clinical challenges, and future pursuits.

Learning objectives

  • Understanding of relevant common and less common pathologies
  • Understanding advantages and problems of different sequences
  • Understanding in depth differential diagnosis based on findings
  • Discriminate common variants from pathology

Programme will include

  • Lectures on common pathology of the liver, biliary system and pancreas
  • Individual case reading and interpretation on provided cases
  • Group case discussion

Level

Level II - General radiologist
Radiologists with little or early advanced knowledge in abdominal/pelvic pathology, who would like to become more confident on reporting abdominal/pelvic MRI, will benefit most from the fellowship.
