Description

This fellowship is designed for Radiologists, who want to learn the state of the art of the use of whole-body MRI in oncology . All aspects of whole-body MRI will be covered, from technical basis and MR protocols, to cancer specific clinical applications. Presentation of each topic will commence with a lecture followed by a review of carefully selected cases, to facilitate case-based learning.

TMC Academy online radiology courses are held in a virtual classroom environment on Zoom. Participants are encouraged to engage in discussions making use of their camera and microphone to recreate the face-to-face experience. Online sessions are recorded so that participants can review on their own time following the training.

In this small group environment among your peers, you are free to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn together with the support of the radiologist mentor.

This radiology course is organised by TMC Academy, an EACCME Trusted Provider.

Learning objectives

  • Become familiar with technical basis, established protocols and common pitfalls in whole-body MRI in oncology
  • Discuss the main clinical applications in oncology for cancer screening, staging and follow-up, reviewing the guidelines indications and common practices
  • Learn to construct an adequate report through structured reporting

Programme will include

  • Lectures on the main applications of whole-body MRI in oncology, including cancer screening, staging and follow-up after treatment
  • Individual reporting on selected cases in PACS viewer with supervision/ immediate feedback by the radiologist mentor
  • Group case discussion
