Description

This online course MSK MRI for beginners will enable you to understand how different joints and MSK tissues can be imaged and the appearance of injuries and stress reactions. Tendons, ligaments, bone, muscle, and cartilage will be covered extensively, as well as the structure of your search pattern, how you should approach each study, and how to work accurately and efficiently.

Relevant clinical cases will accompany the lectures, giving the participants real-life examples of how to start reporting efficiently.

After this radiology course, you should be ready for MSK reporting, emphasising injury – understanding what is important to look for, and what you should not spend too much time on. Basic injury patterns, stress reactions, degenerative disease and the body’s attempt to heal will be explained. Each of the major joints/regions will be described, as well as patterns of pathology in bone, bone marrow, and soft tissues.

Accreditation and CME Certificate
This radiology course is organised by TMC Academy, an EACCME Trusted Provider. An application has been made to the UEMS/EBR for CME accreditation for this event.

Learning objectives

  • To recognize the normal appearance of MSK tissues
  • To understand how protocol and sequence will affect your diagnostic performance
  • To understand patterns of MSK injuries, stress and degenerative disease

Programme will include

  • Lectures on MSK imaging and reporting
  • Lectures on specific diagnostic problems
  • Case readings and group case discussions
  • The programme will not include specific lectures on tumour imaging
  • Plenty of time for Q&A
  • Access to presentation slides, session recordings, and other course materials on the TMC Academy platform
  • Access to discussed cases and recordings after the fellowship
  • Discussions after the event on the Collective Minds Radiology platform
  • Certificate of attendance - An application has been made to the UEMS/EBR for CME accreditation of this event

Level

Level II - General radiologist
This fellowship course is ideal for general radiologists who want to get started with MSK imaging, or radiologists who are less experienced in the field and want to increase their understanding, efficiency and diagnostic confidence.
It might be interesting for non-radiologists such as radiographers, orthopaedic, rheumatologists, sports medicine and other health professionals with an interest in interpreting musculoskeletal MRI.
