Learn which anatomy is relevant in head and neck cancer, how to optimize CT and MR studies and become familiar with head and neck cancer and lymphadenopathy staging in this intensive 3-day neuroradiology fellowship.
This head and neck radiology fellowship aims to guide radiologists and head and neck surgeons to become more confident in reading head and neck cancer studies.
The training will cover all essential topics related to head and neck cancer imaging and will include basic and slightly more advanced knowledge to report. The online course will cover cancers in nasopharynx, oropharynx, oral cavity, hypopharynx and larynx.
Lectures on relevant anatomy, MR and CT technique, tumour staging and follow-up (post-treatment and surveillance) will be followed by individual case readings.
The participants will review the images first by themselves and then together with the mentor and the group. The goal is to create a “reading roam experience”, mimicking the daily work and head and neck fellowship environment. Each day ends with a common reading session of the cases with interaction and discussion with the participants and the mentor.
At the end of this course you will be able to image and identify, stage and report head and neck cancer studies.

Participants are encouraged to engage in discussions using their camera and microphone to recreate the face-to-face experience. In these small groups, all questions can be asked, you can make mistakes, and learn from each other with the support of the radiologist mentor.
