Description

Las lecciones se centrarán en el conocimiento detallado de la anatomía de la cabeza y el cuello, seguidas de las conferencias dedicadas a los tumores específicos en cada región, evaluando la utilidad de cada técnica de imagen y los datos relevantes para la estadificación y el seguimiento de los tumores malignos en la cabeza y el cuello. Los participantes recibirán casos para ser interpretados en base a los conocimientos teóricos adquiridos en las sesiones didácticas que luego se analizarán en una discusión grupal para enfatizar y reforzar los aspectos más destacados.

Learning objectives

  • Reconocer la anatomía de la cabeza y cuello.
  • Analizar los protocolos y métodos de imagen en el diagnóstico y seguimiento de tumores de cabeza y cuello.
  • Aprender a clasificar los tumores de cabeza y cuello. Reconocer los hallazgos esenciales que pueden influir en las diferentes opciones terapéuticas.
  • Identificar cambios postratamiento.

Programme will include

  • Anatomía normal de la cabeza y el cuello / Niveles de los ganglios linfáticos de la cabeza y el cuello
  • Anatomía de la base del cráneo / tumores nasosinusales
  • Tumores nasofaríngeos, orofaríngeos y de cavidad oral
  • Tumores laríngeos e hipofaríngeos.
  • Seguimiento en tumores de cabeza y cuello / Complicaciones del tratamiento.
  • Informes individuales con supervisión de mentor.
  • Discusión en grupo de los casos informados.

Lecturers

  • Laura Oleaga M.D. Ph.D.
    Barcelona, Spain

    Chief Radiologist at Hospital Clinic Barcelona section of Neuroradiology. Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Barcelona

    Dr Oleaga has significant experience both as a radiologist and in medical education. She is the former Chair of the European Society of Radiology (ESR) education committee. Currently, she is the Scientific Director of the European Radiology Diploma (EDIR), and since 2009 Chair of the Radiology Department at University Hospital Clinic (Barcelona, Spain). Her main scientific interests lie in the fields of neuroradiology and head and neck imaging. She has authored and co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific papers and seven book chapters. She is also an active teacher at many prestigious universities, scientific meetings and courses. The European Board of Radiology has established the Prof. Laura Oleaga Educational Grant to honour Prof. Laura Oleaga for her well-known academic excellence and dedication to radiology education. In addition to her depth of knowledge and experience in the field, she is also a passionate speaker and teacher, eager to guide radiologists in their subspecialisation.

Cancellation Policy

Participant cancellations
For cancellations made up until 6 weeks prior to the course, the participant will be fully reimbursed.

For cancellations made after 6 weeks, TMC Academy offers flexible transfer of paid registration fees, meaning that in the unfortunate event that an attendee cannot make it to Barcelona (for Covid-19 related reasons or other), they may simply transfer their credit to the next session (or to any combination of TMCA training programme(s) or subscriptions equivalent to the same price). Please note that this flexible transfer option is available until 1 day prior to the course.

TMC Cancellation

In the unlikely event that TMC Academy must cancel the fellowship (for Covid-19, force majeure, or other reasons), registrants will be offered the option of flexible transfer or full reimbursement.

TMC Academy will not be responsible for travel or accommodation affected by cancellation by either party. We recommend attendees to book flexible travel whenever possible.
