This module will help participants to learn about the general and most common pathologies of the knee including traumatic and non-traumatic pathologies and the associated findings.

Description

This module will help you to learn complex anatomy of the knee including the femorotibial and patellofemoral joints. It will help you to understand the biomechanics of injuries and to recognise typical ligament and tendon injuries as well as associated meniscal, bone and cartilage abnormalities. The module is focused on the most relevant traumatic and non-traumatic pathologies of the knee for general radiologists.


Learning objectives

  • To be able to recognise all important soft tissue structures of the knee.
  • To understand the mechanism of injuries and to be able to recognise all the findings related to the injuries including patellofemoral joint displacement and instability.
  • To learn about frequent non-traumatic pathology of the knee.

    Nenad Popic, MD, graduated from the Medical University of Belgrade, Serbia. After completing the medical education, he moved to Norway where he did his residency in diagnostic radiology with a special interest in musculoskeletal radiology, and continued as MSK radiologist at Akershus University Hospital in Oslo. He has been working as a full-time MSK radiologist at TMC in Barcelona Since 2016 .

Cancellation Policy

Participant cancellations
For cancellations made up until 6 weeks prior to the course, the participant will be fully reimbursed.

For cancellations made after 6 weeks, TMC Academy offers flexible transfer of paid registration fees, meaning that in the unfortunate event that an attendee cannot make it to Barcelona (for Covid-19 related reasons or other), they may simply transfer their credit to the next session (or to any combination of TMCA training programme(s) or subscriptions equivalent to the same price). Please note that this flexible transfer option is available until 1 day prior to the course.

TMC Cancellation

In the unlikely event that TMC Academy must cancel the fellowship (for Covid-19, force majeure, or other reasons), registrants will be offered the option of flexible transfer or full reimbursement.

TMC Academy will not be responsible for travel or accommodation affected by cancellation by either party. We recommend attendees to book flexible travel whenever possible.
