Different diagnostic imaging specialists (radiologists, nuclear medicine specialists), urologists, oncologists and radiation therapists are involved in the management of patients with prostate cancer.

In the initial diagnosis of prostate cancer, staging and patient follow-up, different imaging techniques play a critical role in decision-making. Different diagnostic imaging specialists (radiologists, nuclear medicine), urologists, oncologists and radiation therapists are involved in the management of patients with prostate cancer. In this learning activity, students will have access to 4 diagnostic imaging simulation modules to study practical aspects in greater depth and gain the experience necessary to apply them in daily clinical practice.


Learning objectives

  • Learn about the criteria for suspicion of clinically significant prostate cancer on MRI using PI-RADS.
  • Learn about imaging findings for locoregional and systemic staging.
  • Learn about imaging findings indicative of response to different curative or palliative treatment options in the management of prostate cancer.
