Description

The Basic MSK MRI Workshop will this year focus on the ankle and elbow. This is the 2nd part of a circle of 3 workshops covering the musculoskeletal MR imaging. Working in a setup of smaller group the workshop has a strong empahsis on interactivity and case discussion.

The attendees will learn aspects of sport related injuries and degenerative diseases of different joints to help them interpret MRI scans ranging from the common and simple pathologies to the rare and more complex cases.

The lecture and case discussion based course is aimed at radiologists with a basic to intermediate level of musculoskeletal radiology to optimise their reporting skills of musculoskeletal MRI scans.

  • Szabolcs Hetényi M.D.

    Budapest, Hungary Head of MSK Radiology at Telemedicine Clinic As one of the founders of TMC Academy, Dr Hetenyi has been a keen advocate for knowledge sharing throughout his more than 20 years as a radiologist. Dr Hetenyi has organised more than 7 courses with well renowned international speakers, conducted numerous fellowships as well hosts weekly case study sessions with his MSK team. Since joining TMC in 2007, Dr Hetenyi has reported 10000's of MRI cases with a variety of pathologies however his area of interest lies within sport injuries and degenerative diseases. He is responsible of medial quality assurance at his team and has long experience in prospective peer-review of MSK radiology reports.

  • Roar Pedersen M.D.
    Tønsberg, Norway

    Leading MSK radiologist of Unilabs Røntgen Norway Head of MSK radiology of Unilabs Norway. Dr Pedersen is an experienced lecturer and course organizer, mainly specializing in sports injuries, and with a special interest for imaging of young and growing performers. Dr Pedersen has been a MSK radiologist for 20 years and has worked with the topic in various ways during the years. Over this time, he has developed skills and techniques to cope with a large workload and expectations on speed, efficiency and quality. He oversees 12 radiology clinics, which are producing a large number of studies every day. He reports musculoskeletal studies every day of the year and has an extensive case library, from which he shares cases at his Instagram account (mskradiologyno).

Cancellation Policy

Participant cancellations
For cancellations made up until 6 weeks prior to the course, the participant will be fully reimbursed.

For cancellations made after 6 weeks, TMC Academy offers flexible transfer of paid registration fees, meaning that in the unfortunate event that an attendee cannot make it to Barcelona (for Covid-19 related reasons or other), they may simply transfer their credit to the next session (or to any combination of TMCA training programme(s) or subscriptions equivalent to the same price). Please note that this flexible transfer option is available until 1 day prior to the course.

TMC Cancellation

In the unlikely event that TMC Academy must cancel the fellowship (for Covid-19, force majeure, or other reasons), registrants will be offered the option of flexible transfer or full reimbursement.

TMC Academy will not be responsible for travel or accommodation affected by cancellation by either party. We recommend attendees to book flexible travel whenever possible.
