Description
This MSK MRI course will guide you through the most common MR studies of the upper extremity, and will give you sufficient knowledge of MR anatomy and pathology to evaluate the most common injuries and findings of this region. Anatomical variants and pitfalls will be discussed. Findings particular for the growing skeleton as well as degenerative changes will be illustrated, and common sports injuries and stress reactions are extensively covered.
After completing this MRI course you will have updated your knowledge on MSK MR imaging of the upper extremity and if you are a beginner, you should be able to report your first studies.
TMC Academy fellowships are held in a virtual classroom environment on Zoom. Participants are encouraged to engage in discussions making use of their camera and microphone in order to recreate the face-to-face experience.
In this small group environment among your peers, you are free to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn together with the support of the radiologist mentor.
Case reading on Collective Minds Radiology platform
In this fellowship, Dr. Roar Pedersen will demonstrate cases using the Collective Minds platform, at www.cmrad.com. You don't need an account to follow Dr. Pedersen's case sessions but we highly encourage you to do so. You will be able to look through the cases before and after the fellowship, discuss and repeat your learning, and also get access to the vast amount of other cases on the platform.
Collective Minds allows you to share and discuss cases with thousands of colleagues and is also used for education and research. Register here.

More details will follow once you have registered for the fellowship.
This fellowship is organised by TMC Academy, an EACCME Trusted Provider.
To continue growing your knowledge on MSK imaging, we recommend also following Dr. Pedersen's fellowship on knee and ankle MRI
ONLINE Musculoskeletal MRI Fellowship – Lower extremity on 11 - 13 Sep 2023.
Testimonials:
"Excellent way of learning, easy to follow and so very useful in MSK MRI practice. Thank you for giving me so much confidence and finally I will do reports on the thumb, it has been an obstacle, and also I now have a much more clear picture of the glenoid in all planes. Roar is a true professional, also in doing fellowships, I´m very grateful, thank you!”
Dr. Anne Aalto, Sweden (Fellow, Sep 2022)
"Calm and collected lecturer. Great overview of major topics with emphasis on the important aspects. I am struggling with labrum on a daily basis, and I finally feel I've got a clear understanding of how to assess these.”
Dr. Ulrik Årsland Andersse, MD, radiologist, Akershus Universitetssykehus (Fellow, Sep 2022)
"Roar is enthusiastic with both skill in MSK radiology and in lecturing. The small group was invited to ask questions and engage in discussions. 10/10 would buy again.”
Dr. Peter Jansson, Radiologist (Fellow, March 2022)
