We have recorded a short video for you to get started using the online training platform for Image Reporting Simulator. Click the image to the right to start watching.
If the images on the PACS are not syncing, please: 1 - Make sure you are using a supported browser. Internet explorer is not supported. 2 - Please save your progress and refresh the page. 3 - Try logging out of the PACS, then log back in again. If the problem persists, please get in touch with us sending us as much detail as possible of the problem to academy.info@telemedicineclinic.com. A screenshot showing the error or issue would also be appreciated.
If you are unable to submit your answers, please make sure you have responded to all the questions on the case. You can see your progress at the very bottom of the questionnaire. You must provide answers to all the questions before you can submit the report.
On the Image Reporting Simulator, parallel scrolling is possible with various series in the same cases, simply right-click on top of the image and select MPR > Enable sync with same orientation. Alternatively you could choose this option on the menu displayed on the right hand side of the PACS. If this menu is hidden, just hover the mouse over the right hand side of your screen and this menu will display. Please see images below as an example.
All the learning materials are designed and prepared by our Mentors. TMC Academy Mentors are sub-specialized professionals with a proven experience on their area (Abdo-thorax, Neuro, MSK or Emergency). Before the content gets published on our website another TMC sub-specialized doctor in the topic does a medical review, to make sure all the provided info and responses given to the cases are correct. This goes in line with the TMC value on maintaining a high medical quality. However, if you find any answer that you feel strongly is not correct or could be improved, please get in touch with us via email and we will address it with the mentor of the module: academy.info@telemedicineclinic.com
If you wish to see what the exact same location is on different series e.g. you have located a lesion on a sagital series and you want to see the exact same location on the coronal. In that case, there is the "pointer" function you could use. To activate the pointer, right-click on the image to display the menu. Go to MPR and click on Pointer. Once you have selected the pointer option, hover the mouse over the located lesion and hold the left click button on your mouse to see the exact same location on a different series.

The Image Reporting Simulator is an innovative radiology training concept we have created at TMC Academy. It consists of a reporting simulator that replicates the reading room experience by reporting real cases prepared by an expert mentor directly in your browser.
A Reporting Module is a set of 5 real cases of the same pathology/section (i.e. Dementia, Lumbar Spine, etc.) that can be reported in the Image Reporting Simulator. The cases have been prepared by expert radiologists in the field.
The Simulator is comprised of two main parts: - A PACS viewer where you can see the images of the 5 cases from each Reporting Module. - A structured reporting template with questions that you will need to answer by looking at the images. Once you complete the reporting of each case, you will receive instant feedback from the mentor.
Yes, you can ‘save’ your case at any point by selecting the ‘Save case’ option. You can then return to it whenever you want and pick up where you left off.
Yes. Once you answer all the questions from a case and you submit the report, you will receive the score for this case along with the mentor’s feedback.
The score for the module is calculated by taking the average score across the 5 completed cases.
If, after completing all the questions on the module, you have achieved an average score of 66% or higher, then you have passed the module.
Yes, you can. Just send an email to academy.info@telemedicineclinic.com asking for it to be re-set and we will do it for you.
